Energy Assessment

Complete energy assessment on both solar and wind (onshore and offshore) projects. We use state-of-the-art wind resource and interference models to deliver accurate energy estimations and its variability.

Due Diligence

If your company is considering investment on renewable energy projects, together with our partners we can support the valuation of the projects in order to identify and quantify the risks involved in the operation.

Environmental Analysis

As part of wind farm developmet, the environmental impacts such as noise emission, shadow flicker and visual impact are assessed according to local regulations, or in the lack of that, according to IFC guidelines.

Anchor 1
Wind Resource

Our wind resource analysis considers the variation of atmospheric conditions over time. This evaluation is key to properly model the wind resource over the project area and consider it on the energy capture. Our methodology aims to reduce errors specially at sites with complex terrain.

Interference Modelling

We use state-of-the-art wake and blockage models to simulate interference loss. The methodology considers the temporal variation of the wind conditions such as turbulence, which is the main contributor on interference losses.

Environmental Impact

Noise propagation and shadow flicker analysis according to local regulations. Zones of visual impact (ZVI). The impact on the receivers (residential houses) can be considered as a restriction for layout optimization.

Generation Risk Analysis

The proposed methodology allows a better estimation of the generation risk associated to the project, as it brings a temporal resolution comparable to the power purchase agreements (PPA).

In addition to the central power production estimate (P50), the long-term statistics allows the creation of power production scenarios for each hour of the entire project life.

Combined with spot price scenarios, it is possible to quantify the risk of a given PPA structure through a normal distribution of a financial result.
